Six kinds of water commonly used to make tea

1. Mountain spring water

Most of the mountain springs are from the overlapping rocks of the mountains, the mountain vegetation is lush, from the mountain rock fault streams gathered into the mountain springs, rich in carbon dioxide and various trace elements beneficial to the human body. The spring water filtered by sand and stone is pure and crystal clear, containing very little chlorine, iron and other compounds, and using this spring water to make tea can maximize the color, flavor and shape of tea.

But not as long as the mountain spring water can be used to make tea, for example, sulfur mineral water is not able to make tea. On the other hand, mountain springs are not available everywhere. Therefore, for most people who drink tea, they can only choose the water suitable for tea according to the actual conditions.

2. Rivers, rivers and lakes

These waters belong to the surface water, contain more impurities, high turbidity, generally speaking, with this water to make tea is difficult to achieve good results. But in places far away from people, where vegetation is flourishing and pollutants are relatively low, such rivers, lakes and rivers are still good water for making tea.

Lu Yu in the Tang Dynasty also said in the Book of Tea: "The river water, take people far away", said this is the meaning; Later, Bai Juyi also said in his poem: "Shu tea is sent but new, Wei water to the beginning to feel Zhen", which proves that Wei water tea is very good.

3. Snow and falling water

The ancients called this water "Tianquan", especially the snow water, is respected by the ancients, the Tang Dynasty Bai Juyi's "sweeping the snow and decocting tea", the Song Dynasty Xin Qiji's "writing tea classics and boiling fragrant snow" and other verses praise the use of snow water to make tea.

As for rain, generally should choose "autumn rain", because the autumn sky is high and cool, the air dust is less, and the rain is a "clear" feeling, which is the top quality in the rain, and it is also a good water for tea. Whether it is snow or rain, as long as the air is not polluted, it is always relatively clean compared with rivers, rivers and lakes.

Unfortunately, nowadays, many areas, especially industrial areas, are polluted by industrial soot and smell, which has changed the quality of snow and falling water, so it is rarely used to make tea with rain and snow water.

4. Well water

Well water belongs to groundwater, the content of suspended matter is small, the transparency is also high, but most of it belongs to shallow groundwater, especially the city well water, is very easy to be polluted by the surrounding environment, used to make tea, will damage the tea taste. Therefore, if you can draw water from a live well to make tea, you can also make a good cup of tea.

5. Tap water

Most tap water contains substances such as chlorine, which is used for disinfection. If it stays in the water pipe for a long time, it will contain more iron substances and taste bitter.

Therefore, make tea with tap water, use a pollution-free container, store it for a day, wait until the chlorine gas is released and then boil the tea, or use a water purifier to purify the water, so that it can become a better tea water.

6. Purified water

Modern scientific progress is very fast, the use of multi-layer filtration and ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and other technical means, can turn the general drinking water into pure water without any impurities, and make the pH of the water reach neutrality.
